This is a series of solo improvisation studies I made as a way of exploring a new integrated processing system I designed for saxophone and live electronics.
The setup includes four modes of amplification, all mounted on the instrument: one dynamic clip-on mic, one contact mic, and two lavalier mics installed inside the body of saxophone. These signals are then mixed and processed live through a series of both hardware- and software-based effects.
All tracks are freely improvised, and were recorded in one take with no additional loops, edits, or effects.
